Success Stories

Here are some of the recent favorable outcomes enjoyed by the client’s of Spinney Law:

District Court – Massachusetts

2026 – Motion to Suppress Granted – Case Dismissed

Nathaniel Spinney argued that it was improper for the local police to issue an exit order and subsequently pat frisk a person who was in a passenger in an idling but legally parked car. The only evidence the government relied on for the exit order was the officer’s plain view of a glass pipe described to be a “crack pipe”. The court ordered that without more, a glass pipe is an instrument equally reasonably to be used for legal activities. Thus, the officer unreasonably infringed on his client’s constitutional rights.

Provincial Court – Nova Scotia

2025 – Sexual Assault – Not Guilty

The court found the defendant Not Guilty. Nathaniel Spinney successfully cross-examined the government’s witnesses to show that the allegations were falsely made. Instead, the allegations stemmed from a jilted relationship that turned bad and the complainant was merely upset and attempted to tarnish the Defendant’s reputation with the accusations. After multiple witnesses, the Court agreed with the Defense and found the Defendant Not Guilty on all counts.
